About Our Website Name
Green White Checkers refers to the competition flags of auto racing and the rules of many racetracks. The flagman controls the race using different colored flags to communicate instructions to the drivers. Should a safety hazard occur in the last few laps of an event, a yellow caution flag is waved and racing is temporarily slowed. A Green White Checker rule allows the race to be finished competitively under green flag racing conditions.
The flagman will wave the green flag to resume competition, then a white flag on the next lap signifying the final lap of the race. A checkered flag is displayed at the end of the last lap and the leader is declared the winner. Since the whole race is literally won or lost during this two-lap dash to the finish, it provides for some of the most exciting and dramatic moments in racing.
We feel our name, Green White Checkers, evokes the competitive spirit, drama, and passion of the whole racing experience. It's a racing thing!
